What does Check in do?

You pick the ideas you want to live closer to — gratitude, awe, purpose, or your own — and Check in sends gentle, randomly-timed reminders during the hours you choose. Each one arrives with a short quote from that concept: a small moment to pause.

How do I set up reminders?

Tap “+ Add reminder”, choose a concept and a title, then set a schedule — which days, a daily time window, how many times per day, and a minimum gap between nudges. You can add quiet hours so nothing fires at night.

Why didn't a reminder appear?

Reminders are local notifications, so make sure notifications are allowed for Check in in iOS Settings → Notifications. Pings are intentionally spread at random times inside your window, so the timing varies day to day.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and in your iCloud backup if enabled. There's no account, no sign-up, and no server — the app makes no network requests at all. Your iPhone shares your library with the Apple Watch app directly between your own devices.

What permissions does Check in use?

• Notifications — to deliver your reminders. It's the only permission, and it's optional.

You can change this anytime in iOS / watchOS Settings.
